It reminds us of our childhood through the use of modern technology and there’s something wonderfully magical about that. Some were surprised to see Skrillex contribute this song to the soundtrack of the Walt Disney computer-animated comedy film Wreck-It Ralph, but the composer. I love how integral the sound design and Henry Jackman’s music are in making the world of Wreck-It Ralph come to life. I love these videos because above all they show people expressing how much fun they have establishing the sonic landscape of whatever film they happen to be working on. A great deal of the film’s strength lies in its ability to immerse you in this video game fantasia and the sound and music are key ingredients in creating that experience.
Much of that has to do with how beautifully realized its characters are, as well as the universes they populate. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, hits theaters in November.
